Strong ancestor statue, Songye/Tetela with Teke influence, DR Congo, ca 1950

Beautiful and special statue! Songye/Tetela with Teke influence from DR Congo. So a mix of styles. A folk statue from the middle of the last century and almost certainly made in a studio in Kinshasa that may or may not have been under the influence of the missionaries.
