Overview

Beautiful set of bronze "ear weights" from the Dayak from Borneo. These heavy earrings were hung in a hole in the earlobe with the intention of stretching it. A decoration that is seen as beauty by the Dayak. Rings, etc., were then hung there as body decoration. See the latest photos of a vb in situ. Beautifully shaped objects that have long been part of Dayak culture. The patina is beautiful and appropriate to age and use. The weights are placed on a custom-made metal stand that is of course included. Both an authentic ethnic utensil and a stylistically beautiful object for the home!
