Old catapult with top patina! LOBI, Burkina Faso, 1st half of the 20th century

Beautiful, intensively used, very old catapult from the Lobi from Burkina Faso.

Often hunted with these types of objects, birds but also smaller monkeys. The patina is stunning as is the carving. Stylistically a beauty!! Convincing deep patina consistent with intensive use and age. An asset for every collector of ethnographic objects. For me personally, always an extra if it has been a consumer object. The catapult is placed on a custom-made metal stand.

Rarely have I had one so beautiful!
