Beautiful feminine ancestor statue with a strong appearance and a stylistic beauty!!

Heavy hardwood statue, very refined and with a lot of depth, geometric scarifications and a deep patina. The face has a strong appearance. The statue is beautiful from whichever side you look at it. Although not used tribally, but of a high carving level! Statues made for the market were often made of a light type of wood and the back was sleek and straight. Not so with this statue, which has been taken care of in detail up to and including the back; with a clear but and also geometric scarifications on the back. Good condition and a deep warm patina.
