KOTA MAHONGWE, grave statue of the BAKOTA, Gabon, 2nd half of the 20th century

Beautiful large decorative statue, this KOTA MAHONGWE grave statue of the BAKOTA from Gabon. Wooden base covered at the front with brass/copper which is partly decorated with geometric patterns. The back is wood with the middle part covered with metal. The statue is neatly placed on a pedestal. The earrings and the metal ring around the waist are special for this Kota.
