Couple/husband altar statues, Adan Ewe, Togo, 1960-70

Aklama, Adan Ewe altar figures come in many different shapes and sizes. This is a beautiful copy. They are often very simple but with variation. This is a fairly rare form, namely as a married couple. Beautiful patina commensurate with age and use, rubbed with tukula powder, connected by two strings and neatly mounted on a base.
