Extremely rare item!! this very old hunting horn of the Mbuti pygmy people from the DR Congo. Authentic object. Objects from pygmy peoples such as the Bayaka and the Mbuti are rare anyway. Part of the horn is covered with the skin of the smallest antelope species called the Dik-Dik. A leaf was placed in the blowing section, after which it could be blown. Actually used as a means of communication during the hunt. I have had a suitable standard made for it. A special acquisition for the collector of African ethnographics. Good used condition...excellent actually considering the age.
