Janus statue of the TEKE from the DR Congo, ca 1970

Beautifully carved Janus statue of the Teke tribe from the DR Congo. The statue has been rubbed with red brown tikula powder. One side has a chip missing from the ears, see the photo. Beautiful varied patina, overall in good condition.
