Very old ceremonial bronze sword, GHAN, Burkina Faso, early 20th century

Rare, authentic and very old tribal object, this ceremonial bronze sword of the Ghan. At the bottom of the handle of the sword an animal with a human head depicted. So actually a zoomorphic object too. Superb patina appropriate to age and use and neatly placed on a metal stand. Good used condition!
