Beautifully designed bronze rooster, quite large in size.
The rooster is symbolic in many cultures. Within African culture he is associated with witchcraft. Roosters also play a role in initiations. The Mossi and Gurunsi (Burkina Fasso) are known for their rooster masks. The Bwa or Bobo (Burkina Faso and Mali) use rooster masks. Some war flags of the Asafo, a warrior organization of the Akan people (Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire) read: "We have control of the rooster and the bell bird", indicating that they were so strong that they considered themselves masters of the rising of the sun and the time. The rooster is also sometimes connected with foreknowledge and predictions. For example, Tabwa mediums (DR Congo and Zambia) wear rooster feathers and sew rooster heads on a magical bundle that they carry on their heads. In this way they hope to strengthen the powers that are present in their foreheads. The roosters' heads should bring enlightenment and insight to the medium.

Take a good look at the photos for the condition, which is relatively good.
