Decorative pipe, SONGYE style, DR Congo, ca 1970

Expressive "fertility pipe" in the Songye style. Male statue with male genitalia on the chest and belly. The head of the pipe smelled of tobacco but it seems unused. The top part through which you inhale is made of bamboo. Nice glossy warm brown color with the prints of the sculpting clearly visible. The pipe is placed on a custom made stand that is included.
