The Ovimbundu, also known as the Southern Mbundu, are an ethnic Bantu group living on the Bié Plateau in central Angola and in the coastal area located west of these highlands. As the largest ethnic group in Angola, they make up almost 40 percent of the country's population.

This is a beautiful object of the Ovimbundu, a ceremonial spoon with a cup that looks sideways on top. Appropriate use and aging patina and placed on a custom made stand that is included. The spoon is in good condition.
