Ceremony jar of terracotta, IGBO, Nigeria, 2nd half 20th century
Terra cotta jug in a striking appearance. Face with open mouth. Jars like these are used in ceremonies of diverse character. The jug is placed on a ring of natural fibers that is glued to a foot. See the photos for the condition, which is good.
