Beautiful, big, bronze leopard head, BENIN, 2nd half 20th century
Magnificent exemplar of remarkably big bronze leopard head of the Benin tribe from Nigeria. With great craftsmanship and detail was the bronze head formed, manufactured by the "cire perdue" (lost wax) method, in which the mould is lost during the moulding process. Thereby, it is a unicat. The head is in good condition.
