Male ancestor statue, SONGYE, D.R. Congo, 2nd half 20th century
Expressive, robust, pointy ancestor statue of the Congolese SONGYE tribe. Powerful piece, partly by the pointy shapes. Sculping traces are nicely visible. The eyes have a shell (or part of it) and an animal horn on top. With slight traces of use and aging, this statue is in good condition.
