Hard to find these days, and definitely not for a reasonable price... older Nepalese masks. This is one of them! A beautiful wooden BHAIRAVA mask. Bhairava is one of the most popular divine beings in Nepal and its image is visible in many temples, especially in the Kathmandu-valley. The mask of Bhairava has several shapes, it is considered a symbol of might and power and it protects against greed and anger. With slight traces of use and aging, this mask is in good condition. A wax seal on the back signifies admission for export.
