Big, older maternity statue, ASHANTI, Ghana, with provenance
Spectacular, big and older maternity statue of the Ashanti tribe from Ghana. A mother in a kneeled position is holding her breast with one hand. Stylistically strong statue with all characteristics of the Ashanti in the face, the layered neck, the hairdo and the decorations on the clothing. Avid patina, which is barely similar on any two inches. The statue is neatly mounted on a stand and with its traces of use and aging, it is in good condition.
