Leather shaman mask from Nepal, late 20th century

As a basis, a kind of wooden mask is made firstly. The leather is laid over this and modulated. This type of mask is used by a shaman during consultations with clients. They protect the shaman from bad spirits from the customer.
A beautiful example, striking and with a strong presence. Good condition. See the pictures.
