Impressive and authentic Fon fetish figure (Bocio) with a height of no less than 94 cm. This large wooden figure comes from Benin (West Africa) and is clearly tribally used. It shows traces of ritual offerings, a well-aged patina, and natural wear that indicate intensive ceremonial use. A rare and collectible object within the world of authentic African tribal art.
The figure stands powerfully on a base and depicts a stylized human form with elongated proportions. On top of the head is a ritual bowl, blackened by offerings, which was traditionally used during protection and spiritual rituals.
