Old Authentic Fetish Figurine from the Kusu, DR Congo

Wooden figurine wrapped in cloth. A small piece of wood and a feather are bound to the figure. The figure itself wears a beaded necklace. Rubbing marks are visible on the breasts and head.
Such figurines were kept in a basket along with other ritual objects. They could be used by a medium to communicate with the ancestors, but also for other purposes such as protection and guidance.

Clear and appropriate signs of use and age. A separate, attractive stand is included.
