Older SANZA, thumb piano, DR Congo, 1940-50

Authentic and intensively used sanza from DR Congo

Beautiful object with a soul, this Sanza, also known as a thumb piano. You're not going to make it to the Concertgebouw Orchestra, by the way. The sound box is made of a lighter type of wood, tapers and is decorated with burned-in figurations. In addition to the sound box mentioned, the instrument consists of metal flat rods and metal rings, while the whole is secured with rattan. Good used condition and apologies for the mediocre photos!
